Step-by-step Instructions For
Completing Your CACHE Assignments

1) Accessing the Google Doc Template:

  • Open a web browser (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Firefox).
  • Go to the Google Docs website by typing “docs.google.com” in the address bar and press Enter.
  • Sign in with your Google account. If you don’t have a Google account, you’ll need to create one.
  • Once signed in, click on the link provided by your teacher to access the homework template.​

2) Make a copy of the assignment template

  • Once the template document is open, go to the “File” menu at the top left corner of the screen.
  • From the drop-down menu, select “Make a copy”.
    In the pop-up window, rename the document as instructed by your teacher, and click “OK”.

3) Accessing Your Copy of the Document

  • Your copy of the document will open in a new tab.
  • You can also find your document in your Google Drive (drive.google.com) under “My Drive”.

4) Sharing the Document with the Assessor

  • Once you have completed your homework, click on the “Share” button at the top right corner of the screen.
  • Under General Access – Change the setting to “Anyone with the link” 
  • Click on the pencil icon next to the email field and select “Commenter”.
  • Click “Copy Link”.
  • Go to your assignment and paste it in the box under “Please paste the link to the google docs below to submit your assignment”
