To attain this qualification, it is essential that the learner successfully completes the following components:
- Achieve a passing grade in all 23 units along with their respective tasks.
- Undertake and finalize one longitudinal study, necessitating work with a specific child, conducting a case study, and presenting the outcomes.
- Demonstrate proficiency within a real work setting. This can be accomplished through one or more of the following assessment methods, which need to be completed within 12 months of course enrolment:

Age Requirement:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
Educational Requirements:

While enrolled in this course, you will be required to complete a set of tasks which three age groups that will help you gain specific set of skills. We strongly advise that you complete the following number of hours working with the following age ranges:
- Infants: Birth – 1 year 11 months: 25 hours
- Toddlers: 2 – 2 years 11 months: 133 hours
- Pre-schoolers: 3 – 5 years: 192 hours
As practical evidence is required for all age groups in all units, we recommend that you complete the hours for all age groups throughout the duration of your course. This will ensure you are able to meet the practical evidence requirements to pass the qualification.
In order to gain this qualification, the learner will need to:
- Pass all 23 units with their tasks.
- Complete 1 longitudinal study (you will be required to work with a particular child, do a case study, and present your findings)
